Matan Tal

Matan Tal is a filmmaker and writer based in Berlin, Germany.

His films showcase a wide range of forms and genres, including narrative fiction, VR, and desktop documentaries.

 

His work often explores themes of identity and memory, taking viewers on poetic journeys full of humour through complex political and social contexts.

In 2019, Tal was named one of the Top 10 Berlin Filmmakers to Watch by the Raindance Film Festival.

 

He holds a degree in Film Studies from Tel Aviv University and has been writing and directing short and medium-length films since 2016.
